PS3 Madden 10's pulse-pounding, hard-rocking soundtrack is another element that gives the game an added kick. The past few years have seen the soundtracks becoming an integral facet of the games, and Madden is leading the pack. PS3 Madden 10's soundtrack brings the right level of intensity, as well as a great mix of newer and older songs ("older" being a relative term here, of course). One gander at the song lineup should induce and impress: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth.
Looks like you need a visit back in time, to the embryonic days of sports video games, if you have your doubts about PS3 Madden 10. Yeah, it may be a little much to rave about a current day game at the expense of the earliest football video games. Once you've given the older football video games the once-over, you can grasp why people are drooling over PS3 Madden 10. At the dawn of video game consoles, one of the top requests from every hardcore gamer was a football video game for their system, naturally. Trouble was, the video game consoles' abilities weren't as fully realized as gamers' football fantasies, so hardcore gamers had to make do with what was there. To try to generate excitement, the creators of this one insisted it featured "all the excitement" of actual football. With an open path to the end zone, this is what the number one console in the day scored a touchdown with.
Those guys on the playing field sure couldn't pass for actual football players. That's just a harsh fact. As crude-looking as that picture is, it's even worse when you see the game in action. Technology was so inadequate back then, that every moving player flickered to the point where you could barely see the action. The sound effects were just brutal. And worse, the screen didn't even scroll. Not long afterwards, the main competition developed a more advanced football video game for their console. It certainly was an improvement, with improved graphics, sound, and gameplay. Better, but not great.
That one caused a huge sensation upon its arrival to the video game world, and while it set a (slightly) higher standard, this wasn't the foundation for football video games to be built on. That wouldn't come until several years down the line. This next one, coming out for the next generation of game consoles at the end of the 80s, was a sensation, and still beloved today. For a long time, it was the gold standard by which football video games were held. It's certainly easy to see why that one was a hit - the gameplay was far more sophisticated, incorporating actual offensive and defensive strategies. Everything - sound, visuals - got such a major upgrade that this was the final word in sports video games. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. But even that one can't compete with PS3 Madden 10. Take a look at it, after taking in all of those older games. As you can see, football video games have evolved exponentially since their first appearance. No need to keep bagging on the old stuff. We've made our point. Those games did what needed to be done, and we have them to thank, indirectly, for PS3 Madden 10. Of course, PS3 Madden 10 has really taken the ball and ran with it, which is cause for serious celebration in the video game world. Better yet, the reviewers share the same level of PS3 Madden 10 love as the fans, always a good thing. Comments like "realistic and enjoyable" pepper each PS3 Madden 10 review. Once again, EA Sports makes a win with PS3 Madden 10 - was there any doubt?
No doubt, PS3 Madden 10 is the real sport of champions, and don't let some douchebag tell you otherwise. Not to disparage the other PlayStation sports video games - they're all pretty excellent in their own right, but PS3 Madden rules the playing field. Hardcore gamers hold this one in the highest of regard. This is the game for the real men, not just the little kids, when you go toe-to-toe for some serious money. PlayStation Madden 10 aficionados now get to face off for big bucks. The victory - and your opponent's cash - will be in your hands, once you know the score in PS3 Madden 10.
